Service Plazas
The Ohio Turnpike has 14 service plazas (seven eastbound, seven westbound) conveniently located approximately 30 miles apart along the 241-mile toll road. The service plazas are open 24-hours a day throughout the year and offer travelers a variety of amenities so they do not have to exit the toll road.

AMENITIES:
ATMs
For your convenience, an ATM is available at every service plaza.
Food Choices
Each service plaza offers restaurant services, 24-hours a day. The new service plazas offer a food court with several fast-food choices as well as a sit-down style restaurant.
Fuel
There are service stations at all service plazas, providing two (2) fueling islands conveniently located for passenger and commercial vehicles. Each provides gasoline and diesel fuel as well as a variety of convenience items. The service stations are self-serve; however, full-service is available at self-service pricing for those in need of assistance. (Customers who need fueling assistance should pull up to a pump and beep the horn for an attendant.)
Vehicle Supplies
Travelers can purchase coolant, washer fluid, fuel conditioners, oil, supplies and accessories, and Ohio Lottery tickets at any service station on the Turnpike. Bagged ice and bottled water may also be purchased at the fuel kiosks. An attendant is on duty 24-hours a day and can call for assistance if customers need repairs or towing services. (Fuel prices on the Turnpike are competitive to off-Turnpike locations in the area.)
Gift Shops
Most service plazas have a gift or retail shop offering various items for the traveling public. Gift shops typically have newspapers and magazines, snacks, knick-knacks, first aid supplies, film and more. The retail shops typically offer Ohio clothing and apparel as well as local sports team paraphernalia (Browns, Cavs, Indians) and other items. Middle Ridge and Vermilion Valley have a specialty shop selling sunglasses and leather products.
Handicapped Accessibility
All service plazas have reserved handicapped parking, wheelchair access ramps and specially designed restroom facilities. The new service plazas offer accessibility from any entrance for customers in wheelchairs.
Wi-Fi ~ Wireless Internet Access
The Ohio Turnpike has ten wireless hotspots, provided by AT&T. Wi-Fi service is available at the following Service Plaza locations and coverage includes all interior and exterior areas of the plazas:
Blue Heron, Wyandot, Erie Islands, Commodore Perry, Middle Ridge, Vermilion Valley, Great Lakes, Towpath, Portage, and Brady's Leap.
Travelers can use laptop computers and/or personal digital assistants to wirelessly connect to the Internet. Now, checking e-mail, getting directions, or finding a map will be easier and more convenient than ever for Ohio travelers. Pricing: AT&T DSL customers can use AT&T Wi-Fi for only $1.99 a month. Non AT&T users can purchase a 2 hour session for $3.95 or a month-long membership for $19.95 (provides unlimited access to all SBC Wi-Fi hot spots for one month).
Life-Saving Technology
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is located near the 911 phone in each service plaza. All plaza managers, assistant managers and several plaza employees have been trained to use this equipment, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol personnel. In case of an emergency, the AED is available for anyone to use. Opening the door on the AED Unit will sound a local alarm at the plaza and the Turnpike Communications Center will send immediate notification to emergency medical responders in the area.
Ohio Lottery
Online and instant lottery tickets are sold at most service plazas. All Valero operators have instant and online lottery tickets available 24-hours a day. Lottery tickets up to $500 can be cashed at any gift shop and all Valero facilities on the Turnpike.
Parking
There are separate parking areas for cars, trucks, buses and RV's. The reconstructed service plazas offer expanded parking areas in the rear lot with extra long spaces for truckers with double and triple trailers. There is special RV parking available at several service plazas, or customers may also park RV's or travel trailers in the rear lot. Car parking is available in the front of the building or on the left side of the building near the service station. Customers may use the rear parking area (which serves as an overflow lot for cars) during busy holiday weekends or summer months. Parking is not restricted in the original service plazas and motorists are permitted to park in any available space.
Pets
All service plazas have a pet walk area with water available. The new service plazas have an enclosed pet walk, which is cleaned regularly. Except for assisted living dogs, animals are not permitted in the building.
Picnic Grounds
All 14 service plazas have outdoor seating available. The older plazas have shaded, picnic-type grounds. The new plazas have tables set-up on the outside of the food court area near the front of the building.
Plaza Managers
Plaza managers are on duty at each new service plaza to help with directions, reservations, car trouble, or just answer general questions. Hours vary throughout the week with additional staffing on weekends.
Prices
Prices for food, fuel and other items sold at the service plazas are competitive with those charged at similar, off-Turnpike establishments in the same area.
