EMPLOYMENT WITH THE OHIO TURNPIKE AND INFRASTRUCTURE COMMISSION

All individuals are encouraged to apply for any vacant Commission position posted by the Human Resource Department for which they may be qualified.
Advertisement. The Commission advertises vacancies on this page of the web site for a period of ten (10) calendar days.
Application Process. When a vacancy occurs, the position will be posted on the Commission’s web site with a link provided to the Commission’s employment application. Applications must be received by the deadline date in order to receive consideration. Applications received after the deadline date for the posted position will not receive further consideration.
It is the policy of the Commission to only accept applications during posted vacancies. Applications must be completed in their entirety. Please refer to the Tips for Completing a Commission Application. Additionally, all applications will be maintained on file in the Human Resources office for a period of six (6) months.
After the screening process has concluded, the Human Resources Department will contact only those individuals deemed qualified for an interview.
Skills Testing. The Commission reserves the right to test applicants for certain positions which require skill mastery. The Commission uses only job-related skills testing for appropriate positions.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing. The Commission has a vital interest in maintaining a drug-free, safe, and healthy work environment for its customers, employees, and visitors. Realizing this, applicants being considered for employment may be required to successfully complete a drug screening before being hired. Applicants who do not successfully complete a drug screening will be removed from consideration for employment.
