E-ZPass Read Zones
The E-ZPass read zones are located overhead, well in advance of the toll booth upon entrance and directly under the tollbooth canopy upon exit.

If you do not have your transponder properly mounted as you pass the “read zone” then your E-ZPass may not work properly. Transponders must be correctly mounted/installed prior to approaching the toll lanes.
No! Don't be a Waver!
Do not hold your transponder up, instead of mounting it to your windshield.
If you do not have the transponder properly mounted as you pass the “read zone” then it may not work properly requiring collector intervention and causing a backup at our interchanges.
