IMPROVE QUALITY OF WORK LIFE


We are committed to providing Ohio Turnpike employees with stable employment and a friendly, respectful and team-oriented culture that includes a diversity and inclusion strategy; training; effective communications from leadership; and the ability to be heard and valued. This data will be measured and completed by the following key results:

DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A HIRING PLAN, INCLUDING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION STRATEGY

- The Director of Administration is currently working on the plan with senior executives. 

DEVELOP AND MONITOR AN EMPLOYEE TRAINING PLAN

- Training assessments have been completed by 90 percent of directors, managers and supervisors. A draft of the training plan is in development. 

DEVELOP AND ADMINISTER A COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION SURVEY

- The Employee Satisfaction Survey was completed by employees during August and September of 2020.

 

  • The sample of 462 respondents yielded a 55.0% response.  The survey was taken by employees anonymously and confidentially. Employees answered questions in four categories: Employee Satisfaction, Strategic Issues, Working Environment and Diversity. 
 
  • Our current Quality of Work Life Score is measured at 74.5 out of a maximum score of 100. The score is based on measures of Employee Satisfaction, Strategic Issues, Working Environment and Diversity.

DEVELOP AND LAUNCH AN INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS PLAN

- A draft of the Internal Communication Plan has been submitted and is currently being evaluated. 

RE-INSTITUTE INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK FOR SENIOR LEADERS IN 2020

- Administration is currently evaluating options and past practices in order to develop a new process by the end of 2020.
