MAINLINE TOLL PLAZA - 211

The construction of Newton Falls Toll Plaza at milepost 211 in Trumbull County, which was completed earlier this year, is part of the Ohio Turnpike’s new toll collection system (TCS). It is one of four new or renovated toll plazas on the mainline that will enable E-ZPass customers to travel non-stop across the 241-mile toll road. When the new system goes live, sensors on the gantries above the two open road tolling lanes in each direction will read E-ZPass transponders and tolls will be charged electronically as customers travel without slowing down or stopping to go through a toll booth lane. Customers without an E-ZPass traveling eastbound through this toll plaza will stop to pay a toll with cash or by credit card; and customers without an E-ZPass traveling westbound will stop to take a ticket.
